HistoryLink.org Essay 2826 Printer-Friendly Format On March 4, 1952, voters elect Allan Pomeroy as mayor of the City of Seattle. Pursuant to the Freeholders' Charter of 1946, the mayor's term of office was changed from two years to four years. Elections were held on the Tuesday following the first Monday in March.
