    We’re a couple years into Apple TV+ now, and they’ve really racked up a bunch of great, high-quality, big-budget TV shows that I would watch several seasons of. For All Mankind and Foundation are right up there with my favorite sci-fi portrayals

    The problem with cute little Surface devices is that you can’t rely on the internals to be anything more than garbage. With an M1 chip, these would be *awesome*. With Intel inside, or even Qualcomm, it will just be a miserable, anemic Windows experience 😔

    I don’t think ‘NFT’ is the dirty word many people think it is, necessarily. As a microtransaction model, I would love to be able to experiment with NFTs as a dev, as long as they weren’t mapped to blockchains so acutely detrimental to the environment. But they are, so I don’t

    It is abundantly clear that there’s a tech bubble that is completely oblivious to, or simply doesn’t care about, the backlash to NFTs, and how radioactive they are for your reputation. Meanwhile artists are forced into participating against their will just to curb piracy

    Guess everybody in Silicon Valley invested in Ethereum, so now they have to juice its valuation by leaning hard on ETH-based NFTs & injecting them into everything. Half my timeline thinks NFTs are amazing; the other will never forgive the first half for destroying the planet

    I’m surprised GTA V doesn’t come up more in metaverse discussions, because 8 years after release, spanning 3 console generations, it still commands hundreds of thousands of daily players, makes billions of dollars, and has sold >150M copies. The virtual world of choice for many

    I know some were hoping the sub model would fail and we’d go back to a pay once every 5+ years model, but that isn’t going to happen. And really it was never going to happen, the choices were subs or permanent maintenance mode and probably some job at a MANGA company.
