One of the greatest games of all time. It has stood the test of time to the point that Bethesda has repackaged and sold this game again and again for 15 years without a proper sequel.
Few games have scratched the itch that this game has created. First person fantasy combat that has the freedom and flexibility to approach encounters and character builds how you want to. Stepping through the cold expanse of Skyrim, having the iconic soundtrack play, and seeing a dragon attack one singular wolf in the distance because they were mad at each other is truly top tier.
Not to mention the PC modding scene. Play this game vanilla, then when you feel the inevitable itch to go back, add as many mods as you want until your PC crashes or the game doesn't work anymore.
True masterpiece.

My personal favorite game of all time. It may have flaws, but for what this game was, it was more than itself. The community, forge, custom games, co-op, multiplayer, campaign, Bungie Favorites, and so much more have solidified this as one of those things that you just had to be there to experience it in its prime. No game has ever made me feel the magic that this game brought out than when Bungie finished their trilogy.
Play the trilogy, and experience once of the greatest and most influential titles of the 2000's

Part of me wants to recommend playing this before The Witcher 3, but they are very different games, and this one is rather dated. Still enjoyable, but don't think this is anywhere close to 3. I enjoyed the story and that I could "bring my decisions" over to 3. It made it more worthwhile.

Having played through this game for the first time, it makes me feel as if I came across a classic storybook, dusted it off, and read through the epic adventure of the young boy who became the Hero of Time. I am unsure how to phrase it, but this game's story feels like one of those tales that HAS to exist. Stories like Cinderella, The Odyssey, or others that exude such unique and memorable tales that stick with you, and you'll save in your back pocket for sharing with a child someday. Not only that, but this game feels expansive. I envisioned a very straightforward structure, but the way the game guides you, you are bound to uncover some of the game's many secrets. It is significantly larger than what I expected. Not only that, but there is so much you can miss! I didn't even have the horse for about 85% of the game. And you can complete the game without it!
Having a modern perspective on things does reveal some of the game's age, but that is not a fault of the game itself. Technology and modern techniques just weren't around for them to use. But, they really paved the way for future games to take notes on and iterate on great ideas. I was greatly pleased and surprised to see the game had a fast travel system. I fully expected to run across Hyrule dozens of times over, but the game gave me the option to pick my own way of doing things. Not only that, but it rewarded you for taking the long way and being curious. An art that many modern games have lost.
I know this is just a mess of random thoughts and sentences, but there is so much to praise about this game that it's easy to see why it's a certified classic, if not the greatest game of all time. Do yourself a favor and play it at least once.

Classic PS2 platforms era of a game. Witty, charming, and fun, but punishing at times despite its simplicity. Cool series that could use a revival.

The beginning sections of the game can be a bit slow, but it all builds up to be an awesome adventure with high stakes.
Their mechanics help turn drab turn based combat to become something more enjoyable and stylish. They also incorporated social links with different perks and benefits, which is awesome compared to previous games which didn't give much (if I remember correctly)
I love the Persona games because they continually remind me the impact one person can have on the lives of others. Be there for people, whether you know them well or not.

Neat little game. It's fun for a game purely about the boss battles. Diverse enemies make each fightunique. Challenging and encourages replayability, though I don't think I'll pick it up again.
