Firefox Focus: Privacy browser
Ratings & Reviews
After a brief adjustment period, I am completely I love with Firefox Focus and wish I could have it on my computer too. My attention span has increased. My wallet has recovered from impulse purchases. I make more thoughtful choices about what websites to go to. PLUS I get to avoid targeted ads and make it harder for companies to profit my usage data (privacy of constant cookie deletion). It is the opposite of “multiple tab syndrome” for ADHD users.
This is a feature on normal Firefox that is missing from focus where you can hold the back button to go back a few pages instead of just the immediate previous page. This is important because occasionally websites will get locked into a loop where really you need to back out a few steps to get out
The best private browser it’s simple fast. The only thing that is needed is the ability to have more than one tab open at a time other than that this private browser has everything that a regular browser should have. No fluff no extra plug-ins or anything like that. Just simple straightforward browser
Total confidence in this search engine. I take comfort knowing that all of the prying eyes, hackers and identity thieves are not getting the chance to invade my privacy and at the end of the day I know that all is deleted with the touch of a button. In this time we live in there is so much dishonesty and I feel safe and secure.
In the realm of what is to come of already worldwide acceptance of mass-surveillance, data brokers, cryptocurrency narcissism and ai. A basis of what is right and what is wrong will continue. If that wasn’t then karma would be a lie for lack of a better word. Who needs words or agreements though when you can blatantly block 2,000 web trackers a day. Such is peaceful.
90% of the time when I open a website on my phone, I want to look something up quickly and then have the page disappear. This app does that perfectly. No more 100+ open tabs sitting around!
Thanks Firefox, for ‘Firefox Focus’ being here with me! I love it, need it, want it to stay. Thanks to you All. Happy joyful wishes, everyone there, and to all of us here! Many Cheers! ※\(^O^)/※~ ‘Dr.’ Steve #EZ411. . . . . . . . . . . . Want “Bookmarking”? Then do-this… -Find the webpage you want in the app.-Then ‘’tap’ the web address-bar shown at screen top and then, when you SEE “Add Shortcut” — ‘tap’ that. -So, whenever you open the app or if you ‘tap’ into the address-bar, the page view will be cleared and you’ll ‘see’ your visual-bookmarks.Wishing you happy thoughts! Happy planting of those seeds-of-thought… ~ ‘Dr.’ Steve #EZ411
Title. The adblocker, or to clarify, the safari extension, it used to block all ads; and websites would also not detect the extension and turn it off. Now, it lets more ads through and more trackers as a result. The adblocker is also periodically turned off by some websites too. I am not too sure whether it is the extension itself or ad technology unfortunately improving, but I think it's the latter.I will now have to look for a new alternative for the time being (which is very hard for free ones). I will only update my review once this is fixed.
This app is terrible. It doesn't do anything it says. I don't believe these reviews are legit at all. What this app will give you: a terribly inconsistent scrolling experience. Endless ads. Not compatible with most video players. Hidden features to prevent external apps from blocking ads. Incorrect information about history/cache clearing. (it is still available after the app closes for at least 2 hours) , and URL string manipulation and obfuscation. Sure it's fast, but when 70% of the page doesn't load that ain't worth much lol ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Go use Brave instead.
I've used them all. The new updates to this one made it so the cursor is automatically in the search box so you can just start typing or talking. The browser is super fast and only once or twice have I been on a website with a captchya or something that didn't show up so Inhad to switch to the phone's default app in those rare instances. Everything else has displayed fine including videos, images, and live streams. Browse all you want, as soon as you navigate away the screen goes dark on app until you make it full screen again. So ifbyo were flipping through your open apps, nothing shows until you select the app. Hit the "Erase" button to simply delete browsing history whenever you want, although it does the same thing automatically whenever you close the browser. The only thing I don't like about it is the same thing I don't like about most mobile browsers: DEVELOPERS PLEASE INCLUDE THE TOUCH EQUIVALENT OF CONTROL+F in future updates. There's nothing more annoying than being on a website that you chose for a specific search result and then being unable to find the relevant info quickly because of mounds of condensed text in the mobile format. I like to find info fast, not read entire books online on mobile sites. Would be great to be able to SEARCH BY KEYWORD OR PHRASE FOR RELEVANT INFO WITHIN A WEBPAGE on this app. Still give you 5 stars because No One else offers this level of privacy and convenience with awesome search results, and like I said I can't find an app anywhere that does all this with the FIND WITHIN A PAGE function.
