Setgraph: Gym Workout Tracker
Ratings & Reviews
Wow- this is the one! The price is reasonable and it makes it easy to record my sets/reps/weight, or even random things like resistance band color can be recorded through notes. It shows what muscles I worked last, what hasn’t been worked, and allows me to easily input my more non-traditional exercises. I don’t think I will need any other tracker- this one is comprehensive and simple to use.
Developer ResponseThank you for your kind review. We’re glad Setgraph makes it easy to track everything from sets and reps to resistance band colors, and to add exercises that fit your routine. It’s great to hear the muscle view helps you decide what to work next!
Been using it as a tracker for a couple years. I appreciate that it’s straight forward and simple. I use it like a notebook and it lets me name my own stuff without all the added nonsense. Works great for somebody experienced in the gym. Pretty sure it has recommendations and whatever other bs but that’s not what I want out of an app honestly I just want to track what I’m doing easily and change things on the fly and it does that perfectly.
Developer ResponseThank you for sticking with us over the years! We're glad the app delivers exactly what you need: a straightforward, flexible way to track your workouts without getting in the way. We designed it so experienced lifters can customize everything, make changes on the fly, and focus on training rather than navigating unnecessary complexity. We appreciate your support and are happy to hear it's become your go-to gym notebook.
Wonderful app, hope they keep it at $30/year because as it stands it’s 100% worth it. Love how easy it makes tracking my workouts and how they’re constantly adding new features every month (I.e the trophy icon next to sets where you’ve hit a PR most recently). And the sync with Apple Watch also sets it apart from other apps. Would definitely recommend!
Developer ResponseThank you for your kind feedback. We’re glad you’re enjoying the PR tracking, regular updates, and Apple Watch integration. Thanks for recommending Setgraph!
is app is perfect when it comes to tracking what you want to track in gym. only thing I wish that could be better is allowing user that don’t have apple intelligence on their phone to be able to use an AI model to do the same work so everyone is able to use the track rest period for each muscle group.
Developer ResponseThank you for the great review and feedback! We're glad you're enjoying the app for tracking your workouts. You make a great point about Apple Intelligence compatibility. While Apple Intelligence can help automatically categorize muscle groups, users without Apple Intelligence can still manually assign muscle groups to their exercises and track rest periods effectively.
I’ve used this app for about a year and half now, and this app has been so nice. It has a bunch of tools i use, while other workout apps I’ve tried haven’t been as good as this one. I lost my workouts and progress once, and I got good customer service to get my stuff back. IMO the pay is worth it for the great app.
Developer ResponseThanks so much for sticking with us for over a year and a half! We’re really glad the app and tools have been helpful, and that our team could get your data restored quickly. Your support means the world to us!
Been using this app for about 4 years now, and after two years upgraded to paid version. Love being able to scroll down and see the history of my workouts. Definitely one of if not the best workout tracker out there IMO.
Developer ResponseThank you for your feedback. We're so grateful to hear you've been with us at Setgraph for four years! We’re glad your workout history has helped you track all that progress along the way.
Somehow, I ended up with two separate accounts—one of which hasn’t been used since September 2022. CS managed to merge my two accounts, so now I have data going back more than 4 years. To the app itself, it’s an amazing tool to have in your weight training arsenal. You control everything: sets, plates weights, bar weights, plate machine starting weights, intervals between sets… this thing does everything for you but rinse off the dishes of your *obviously* protein-dense post-workout meal. :) Get it. Use it. Love it.
Developer ResponseThank you so much for the incredible review! We're especially glad our support team could help merge your accounts and restore your full training history, 4+ years of progress is too valuable to lose. It means a lot to hear that Setgraph has become such a useful part of your weight training routine. We’ve worked hard to make the app as customizable as possible, from plate calculations and machine weights to rest timers and workout tracking, so it's great to know those features are making a difference. Thanks again for your support and for being part of the Setgraph community!
Setgraph really is one of the best apps out there for tracking your work outs. ive been using it for a little over a year now and its been my mainstay the whole time. i would want to see a few tweaks made to it, from small stuff and some bigger stuff. one of the little things that could be improved upon is that when you search an exercise, it pops up with a bunch of suggestions for you to add, but if you’ve only typed in half the word it’ll kick you out. say you’ve typed three letters and you have “dum” while searching for “dumbbell bench”, well you’ll tap on the “dumbbell bench” option but the app will kick you out of the exercise and autocorrect to something else. albeit a very minor inconvenience, but it’s the small things that make the biggest differences. One of the big things that i would love to see is a total volume for each exercise in the “Set Details” tab. I know it’s available under each exercise, but i feel like it would also fit in the above mentioned tab. overall a wonderful app with no real issues to speak of and a (kinda) low price for what it offers. i would 100% recommend setgraph, especially as it outperforms many of its competitors. would love to see some changes here and there and maybe a price reduction, but definitely one of the best options on the market.
Developer ResponseThank you for your review. We're glad you like the app and hope you continue using it!
I only wish it incorporated a timer, both for recording sets and just in general. Some of my movements are done for time and I just use the reps as a measurement of seconds instead. I also wish the add a set button was bigger and not in the bottom right corner. Every single lift I inadvertently edit a previous set when Im panting for air and trying to operate the app single-handedly. Adding an exercise is easy enuff, but I would like it if it offered a blank one so I wouldnt have to rename each one I add. I also would like it if I had more control over the notifications. It's only a small ding. It would be nice if it gave me a second noise if I dont do anything on the app, the way my text messages (iphone) do to remind me to check them. Or at least a longer one, or multiple dings. Perhaps user defined dings would be ideal. These are small criticisms, and should in no way dissuade you from trying the app. It does a great job keeping track of ur lifts so you dont forget what weights or sets etc you left off at. The folder system is very handy once you figure it out, and it is intuitive. Just wanted to mention these in the hopes the developer sees it.
Developer ResponseThank you for your suggestions. We still hope to continue improving Setgraph and we always prioritize our users' wishes, in hopes of providing them a great experience. I’ll start this off by saying I’m not sponsored by/affiliated with anyone within this company. Found this when looking up workout tracking apps. I have been a long-time fan of recording my workout data within the iOS notes app using tables. It was an archaic way of tracking but I didn’t have any other options. Now that I use Setgraph, I love that I can make workout groups, gathering each day’s exercises into a simple tab that I can select depending on the day. Searching for and adding exercises is easy enough, and the Custom workout feature is a nice touch. Now, in terms of what can be improved, I have one simple suggestion. Instead of logging an individual set at the end of the set in question, make it so that you log it at the beginning. My thought process is that you can set the number of reps and the weight, and then hit “Log”. A timer starts, which tracks how long you spend on that given set, which is another piece of data that I think would be great to track. Once you’re done with the set, hit “Finish”, and the app starts the “Rest” timer, only for the cycle to repeat at the end. Simple suggestion that would make the app even better than it already is. Maybe something to spruce up the UI could be nice too :) Otherwise I love the app and it is well deserving of its 5 star rating.
Developer ResponseWe appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review and your thoughtful suggestion. If you haven't already, feel free to check out the feature request section of the app where others can vote for your idea!
