Goodnotes is a digital notepad and PDF markup tool. And it’s very good at both. As a notepad, Goodnotes covers all the bases. Create notes with your keyboard or handwrite them with Apple Pencil. The app transforms your hand-drawn shapes into geometrically perfect ones. It’s also capable of recognizing your handwriting (even when you can’t) and converting it to text.
I use it daily for menu planning and journaling. I also like that it shows on both my IPad and IPhone so I have it when I need it. I wish that after I type something I could bold it or change the font color by highlighting the portion I want to change instead of having to delete it and select the option I want and then have to retype it. Also I notice after I do that and hit enter it is no longer bolted or changed to the color font I chose.

I really like using Goodnotes for things like annotating lecture PowerPoints, creating notebooks for subjects in school, and labeling photos. It’s pretty user friendly and is a staple in nursing school However, I still am having issues with the study sets flashcards. After every few I make, the card will turn black or not show my writing anymore which can be frustrating. I see it was supposed to be fixed but it isn’t still.

i’ve been using Goodnotes as my primary note taking app, but I’ve hit a major block. I forgot the password to my locked notes and didn’t enable biometric unlocking as a result I’m currently locked out of my important Notes and for some reason, the app also prevents me from creating any new locked notes. it would be incredibly helpful if you could implement a new password recovery option or a way to access great app overall, but this limitation is quite frustrating.

It’s the best app I’ve found for note-taking, and I’ve tried several. It can certainly do better though, I’d love to see some features like: being able to flip the pages like a book; be able to zoom in and out pages in a notebook like their whiteboards; I want to be able to move the position of a page while using it, it makes writing by hand much easier. Apps like ilustrator have this feature and I love it. I also want to see a word to speech feature!

Goodnotes 6 is nice, however I miss one small thing that was in Goodnotes 5 was when you selected a photo from your album that was cropped, it uploaded it just how it was. However version 6 does not have that capability. So you basically shouldn't crop it before hand as you would have to crop the photo once you upload it. Also there is no zoom option either to make sure you have the perfect cropping if you are needing the perfection of it.. however there is a free hand crop too...

This app use to be great now I spend half my time fixing bugs of random lines being drawn on my screen or waisting 50% of my battery on the app in two hours of taking note for difficult classes. All I ask for is a way to uninstall the AI part of the app so it can run smooth again as event thought no one uses the AI feature it still takes up processing power and slows down the simple writing features.

I have loved using this app ever since I began PT school, however a change in the Lasso tool has really frustrated me. Anytime I try to move some notes using it on the whiteboard, it seems to “lag” and the smoothness of moving the note you encircle is gone. I’m unsure if this is a new change or bug, but I really preferred the old smooth lasso! This one does not allow you to make fine adjustments :(((
I started using this 2 months ago for work. I can hand write all my notes and have them all handy instead of post it’s across my desk. I can use the search function to tell my boss the last known place of truck keys. I don’t even have to remember WHEN someone told me something in order to know WHERE I wrote it down. I am 100% sure this does more than I know/need and I can’t wait to find out.

This app is perfect for people like me who like to highlight and take notes on the books. They read it’s because of this app that I got to take my entire library and put it all on one iPad mini now everywhere I go I have my entire library with all of its notes this app is perfect. I would literally pay a subscription if they charged it to use this app luckily, it’s only a one time payment.

Love this App I constantly have to use my iPad for work so it’s nice to have this app to hold all my presentations and files and be able to access them on all my devices easily. I do with that I could use my iPhone as a remote so I could give my dealers my iPad to hold and control it on my phone while being able to see what my iPad is displaying and make notes. Could be an awesome feature to add!
