AllTrails: Hike, Bike & Run

We love how AllTrails helps you zero in on just what you’re looking for. Filter search results by difficulty level and elevation gain, or find trails with waterfalls or hot springs—or that are dog-friendly. Reviews and photos submitted by the AllTrails community give you a full picture (and often insider details) before you head out.
I love so much about all trails. Downloading maps for when there’s no cell service. Navigating to the trailhead. So much that works well. However, the search feature is unreliable. If a trail is in proximity to me and there’s a distinct word in the name of the trail, I should be able to search and find the right trail. Sometimes it can be very tricky. Also, it would be nice to be able to click on a trail when you’re looking at the map and have it tell you the name or show you that route

This program seems to have lots of current information about various trails. Love the ability to use filters to find easy trails that allow pets. Had a small issue with free trial and getting charged after I canceled subscription . I was refunded and developer immediately reached out to ensure situation resolved so have to give 5 stars for great app and customer service. As I continue to review trail apps this is definitely one of my top choices which I will likely return to and subscribe.

All Trails has been amazing to us. My wife and I hike about once a week and use the app everytime. The app has so many trails to choose from and has very accurate hiking GPS cause you don’t want to get lost hiking. It has so much more useful information such as trail conditions, local weather, trail head locations, driving directions to trail heads and much much more. Definitely worth the paid subscription because it’s so affordable. This app will aid you in having a safe and fun time.
People who say this app did them dirty are taking I to heart too much. No other trail app shows you any trail so easily. Sure it may be wrong slightly on distance and be harder trail than it says, if there are pictures, go off them, take photos of features you didn’t expect and post those so others don’t make the same mistake and they update the difficulty. It’s a great app, I have found so many trails near me I would’ve never found with it.
I love this app, I use it all the time to find great new hiking spots that I didn’t even know about. It get the job done, lets me everything I need to know, I feel prepared before I leave for the hike and I am always comfortable and confident that I will not get long during my hikes/ walks. This app has everything a hiker could need so it don’t matter if you are a bigger or an adventurous hiker this app will be always useful! I can’t say enough about it’s literally the best!
I’ve had this app for maybe five years now? I have only two apps that I pay for and this is one of them. I love being able to download the trails for areas that do not have much service. There is sufficient data to be able to research the area you want to visit based on the AllTrails data & reviews. I love being able to review what hikes in the amount of miles I’ve gotten in for the year. And the National Park Stamps are pretty cool.
I’ve been using this app for my entire Camino Frances journey. It is spot on and the most accurate in terms of updated guidance on the trail. I’ve been helping out fellow pilgrims especially when navigating out of a city in the pre dawn exits in the morning. Incredibly accurate in terms of your position. It will even buzz you when you’ve wandered of the trail. The additional features you get for paying are well worth the price.
I’ve been using AllTrails for a few years now. What I love is finding neat hikes when we’re traveling. Reading the reviews, as well as the stats about the trail (distance, elevation, etc) allows me to make an educated decision about where we’ll hike. I especially love the download feature as many times there isn’t cell service and downloading the map allows you to stay on trail without abs glitches!
Excellent concept! The functionality provided is, as far as I’m concerned, feature complete. BUT, boy, they introduced a bunch of bugs since I last used the app, 2 years ago. Like difficulty to log in with email on the first app screen, or the worst of them: not being able to access all my carefully downloaded trails once I found myself at the top of the mountain with no internet access. What is the download good for!? I’ll email support about these issues.
Developer ResponseHi there - thanks for the feedback, we'll be sure to share it with our product team to be considered for future updates to the app. In the meantime thanks for your patience and please don't hesitate to email us with any other suggestions or feedback - support@alltrails.com.
I went on a hike to bridge to nowhere and got lost in the dark of all times. Luckily I had this app downloaded and didn’t even realize it was tracking my progress somehow? Even before I started the hike I got a notification showing I was at a trail and the map for bridge to nowhere popped up so I guess that’s where the progress thing came about hours in to my hike. I was able to navigate back to the start :)
