  • Very useful

    boy believer

I’ve been using this app for a little while now and I’m very satisfied with how user friendly it is, you can put your favorite team on the front of the app witch is really awesome and check the schedule of your team though the season

  • Awesome App For Keeping Up With Hockey, One Complaint

    I nnnnnubububyvtcrrcyb

I use this app almost every day during the hockey season! The schedule prevents me from having to search for a schedule on google and risk getting a virus on my device from tapping on links. The amount of features are impressive. Top players to watch for the upcoming game, the goaltending stats, and the next games between those two teams to name just a few. The roster is, personally, the best part but it’s also the worst part right now. The app tends to glitch, at least for me, after almost every update. It was the schedule that didn’t work before but this time, it’s the roster. It doesn’t let me go back any seasons at all, which it’s meant to. I recommend getting that fixed. The problem is usually solved within a few days or one update but this is taking its time. App is recommended though!

  • Ok but the scoring in inaccurate

    Name here123456789

So when I check this app to see the score for the habs it’s always incorrect, the real score would be 2-2 but the app will say 1-3. This is really annoying because when I look up the score it says the same. But when I check the score after the game has ended it was be the correct score. It’s a good app and the schedule is correct but the scoring is always off.

  • Great League, Bad App

    Marco! Polo!

Please fix the Apple TV app. There are too many basic playback bugs for an app representing a major professional sports league.Videos often start at the end instead of the beginning. The scroll/progress bar sometimes never disappears, leaving the entire video with a dark tint over it. Those are just a couple examples, but the overall Apple TV experience is frustrating and unreliable.I have been trying to get friends into hockey and recommended the app as a good place to start. Unfortunately, the feedback I have received, and what I have seen firsthand, is that the app is a poor experience. If the league is serious about growing the game, the app needs to feel professional, polished, and easy to use. With the amount of sponsorship money visible across the league, there is no excuse for such a rough product. The NFL would never tolerate an app experience this bad, and the NHL should not either.

  • Great app!

If you're a hockey fan, then you should get this app! Not only does it allow you to get live scoring updates and alerts as well as video highlights from every team in the NHL for free, but you can also (if you want to) upgrade to either a Premium or Live subscription for the app. I opted to go for just the Premium subscription, as it was cheaper, and I really didn't need the video option. Another reason that I got just the Premium subscription is that this coming weekend, I'll be visiting one of my friends down in St. Louis that goes to St. Louis University. Since I don't want to miss any of the action from my Minnesota Wild, I'll still be able to keep up with them thanks to the live radio broadcasts that the Premium subscription provides. This will come in very handy, as the Wild have a day game this Saturday against the Sharks. When that game is on, I'll still be able to at least listen to it so I don't miss a minute of the action. That basically will be the only time I have to use it, as when I go back home to Wisconsin, I'll be able to see the other games the Wild have that week on Fox Sports Wisconsin (since we don't have an NHL team). Then again, it was nice that I only had to pay a one-time fee of $4.99 for the upgrade to the Premium subscription for the remainder of the season.

  • Blah to garbage.

The App used to be alright. But updates have made it pretty terrible. Navigation has becoming even less intuitive. But my biggest complaint is the audio option to listen to the games. They updated it in a way that was a huge step backwards in three major ways: 1 - when listening to a game, you can no longer do anything else within the app. If you exit the audio stops. It’s not just not being able to read articles. You can’t follow the gameflow or anything else for the game you’re listening to. 2 - in previous years, there used to be an option for which feed you wanted to listen to. Two teams, two radio feeds, each local to the contenders. If you want to listen to your team’s commentators great. If you wanted a choice in case those guys are boring, it was there….. not anymore. One and done. 3 - and the most unacceptable, there hasn’t been a single time that I have tried to listen to games this season where they had the wrong audio linked to the game i clicked. And I’m not saying the app says I’ll be listening to the Chicago feed against Detroit and getting Detroit’s feed. I’m saying it will be the link for the Chicago feed for Chicago v Detroit and the feed will be a Pittsburgh local feed for Pens v Caps. That’s just pathetic. Amateur Hour folks. Disappointing. . . . **Update** They seem to have fixed the first of my three audio complaints. *** Update *** since the update from a couple weeks ago, the app just doesn't work anymore on my phone. It goes to boot up and just closes itself.*** update ***The app is functioning. The audio quality is solid and the listen button is easily accessible. Overall I think they did a good job making the app look and feel more intuitive than it had been.

As a former player of 20 years and dedicated fan, I cannot express my severe disappointment with GameCenter. Once again, fans of the NHL are inconvenienced through the league's incompetence and inability to provide a means for fans to follow the league. Even after reading the majority of bad reviews and articles written on GameCenter, I spent the $130 since I frequently travel and wanted to follow my hometown team. The reality is, you may get one or two games per night. The number of games blacked out FAR exceed the number available. I live in Texas, and bought the app to watch the Detroit Red Wing games. Since November, I've had almost 90% of their games unavailable due to blackout restrictions. I've called customer service and asked what the purpose of the app is, to which they responded that it's intended to allow you to watch games out of your market. Again, I'm a Detroit fan living in Texas, and none of our games are available. Even when they aren't nationally broadcasted (on NBC etc.), they are still blacked out. Their response is to buy the NHL network on top of GameCenter. This isn't an option for AT&T users, since NHL network isn't offered on AT&T. Therefore, the NHL fails to provide a valid solution for fans living out of market. I'm a prime example of their target demographic and it doesn't come close to achieving its purpose. Save your money, I can't find a single justification for subscribing next season.

  • Works great bad policy's

    Tloc11

The quality is great but the service leaves a lot to he desired. I live in Albany, NY and every time the Canadiens or any team for that matter play the Islanders, Rangers, Devils, or Sabres the game is blacked out. Albany is considered Buffalo's home market but it's a secondary market to the other teams listed. The problem is when 2 of the teams play on the same night MSG only shows Buffalo because it's Albany's home market and then sometimes shows the the other team but mostly the Knicks. Every time the Canadiens played the Islanders this year it was blacked out on this app but was not shown on TV. I get blacking it out if it's on TV but it's not on TV in Albany so it should not be blacked out. How is that good business for either the channel or the NHL? Forcing people to find less legal ways of watching even though they pay for a service like this to ensure they can watch every game. It's a bogus racquet and should be fixed. How can a place like Albany, NY be a home market to 1 team but be a secondary market to 3 other teams? If I was an islanders fans living here I would never get to watch them because they are rarely on TV and are blacked out on Game Center and NHL Center Ice. This is a great disservice to fans of the greatest league in Sports. You are cutting out Thousands of people from your advertisers that are part of their targeted market. Letter to the cable providers, NHL, and Networks have proved to be fruitless. I haven't even got a response from any of them. Please fix this problem we the fans deserve better.

  • Crashes more than Chris Kreider does into Goalies

I use this app a lot to stream games because Xfinity is way too expensive and the games aren’t in HD... But if there was any other reliable options to watch I’d probably go with that. The NHL app works half of the time which is why I gave it three stars and no more. When the app works it’s awesome, 95% of the time the stream is clear and the other 5% is just because of our internet so I can’t blame them on that. I love how it’s set up where you can see standings, League news and news about your single team! BUT... And this is a big but, IT CRASHES HALF THE TIME, I’ll think to myself, “HMMM I wonder what the scores are tonight” and these are the three things that happen... It either just won’t load, the app will load and you’ll see the home screen for a second and then it’ll crash OR when I press to see the scores it crashes. I don’t mind having to google scores but isn’t the point of the app to make it easier on the users to have info and entertainment easily accessible? Also like 15% of the time when we try to stream it’ll say we’re streaming the game but it’ll just show the two team logos and the NHL shield in the middle and will do nothing... Again when the app works it’s great but I find it not working A LOT
