Each day, Spark serves up four puzzles around a single theme that build on one another to reveal surprising connections and outrageous facts. It’s a rigorously researched lesson that’s so playful you won’t even notice you’re learning.

  • Thought Provoking and Interesting!!

I downloaded Spark for my summer months as a high school history teacher so that I could continue to stimulate my brain, and this app definitely does that!! The games are very fun, and I always look forward to reading the articles at the end of each mini game. The topics chosen daily are definitely not things I would look up myself, so it’s super informative about all kinds of things in our world! I’m now brainstorming ways I can bring these kinds of games into my classroom!!

  • Spark is so fun and informational!

I’ll be honest…I was not sure I was going to care for Spark, but someone told me to try it for about a week. Now, I cannot end my day without completing it! What I like about it most is the variety of different subjects and topics it focuses on. I may not know anything about a topic, but by the end of the daily game, a have added a great deal of knowledge on a subject that I would have not thought to investigate! If you want to expand your knowledge of the world around you, play this game.

  • Educational, Fun, AND Free!!!

I have been on this app for about 6 months now and I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!! I had a free trial for Spark Plus and it was so fun to go through all the daily puzzles, learn new things, and try to beat each level. I thought it would get boring but I was wrong! And after the trial ended, I thought it would get really restrictive and not let you do much but I was wrong AGAIN!!! You can still do the daily puzzles everyday! This is such a great app and I plan to keep using it for a while!!!

  • Love the game but …

    TennVol18

I’ve been playing the game consistently for over a month and I love it. I don’t pay for the archive or access to Knockout, though that would be fun. However, my partner downloaded the game a week after I did and has consistently had access to Knockout and the archive since doing so without paying anything. Not sure I understand the difference in access but seems unfair. It won’t stop me from playing, but I don’t understand treating your users differently.

Hi there, we're so glad to hear that you've been loving playing Spark! We'd like to look into the question you raised about the difference between your and your partner's access, but we need to gather a little more info to do so. Could you please send an email to support@playsparkapp.com with the subject line "Apple Review" and the email addresses you and your partner use to access Spark? We appreciate your help and we look forward to chatting with you.

  • Fun Educational Game :) for all

    4paprhearts

This game is enjoyable for all imo. Anyone who enjoys learning about new topics and actual informational content. There are different multigames for different topics you can learn about. The setup is you get a daily topic/ category and play mini games with awards based on accuracy & achievement. Then, you can also go back and play different topics from other days. Overall, keeps my interest, helps with adhd/ restlessness. Fun games :)

The three puzzles in the free version are a fun and quick way to learn something new every day. It’s refreshing to use an app that doesn’t have ads. Instead, you can pay to unlock past topics and the 4th puzzle. The daily topic ranges widely across a vast number of categories, which keeps it fresh. My favorite puzzle is Links, where you place cards based on facts they share with other cards. It’s a great app!

  • Bite-size learning opportunities

I really enjoy this app, and I like that it’s given me opportunities to learn little pieces of information about topics I normally wouldn’t be exposed to. I wish there was a way to bookmark or share the factoids shown in between games, and I wish we were provided with sources other than just the name of the person who created the puzzle, but overall, I’m glad I gave this one a shot.

  • Relaxing and informative

I love that there’s no timer and that you can choose which activities you want to do and you don’t even necessarily need to finish. It’s great that they have a topic of the day and you can also skip it by going into the archive. Sometimes I’ve not been interested in the topic and did it anyway and I’m glad I did but they make it interesting by choosing unique facts and comparisons.

  • Great way to learn while having fun

In the age of doomsday scrolling, this app is truly a breath of fresh air. The editors truly put in a lot of effort crafting these daily themed games and it allows for a great way to learn about different things while having fun. It’s also easy to make this into a habit, because unlike other puzzle games this can be done in relatively quick time. Kudos to the Spark team for a gem of an app 🫡

  • Perfectly Nerdy Morning Ritual

My wife and I have completed Spark puzzles together every morning since November 2025! The team perfectly balances educational and whimsical trivia. We also love that the content goes beyond Eurocentric history. You’ll end up wanting to befriend at least one puzzle editor. We still talk about how much we loved the May Day and the Juice themed puzzles. Highly recommended…
