Plezy: Media Server Client
Оценки и отзывы
This app is just about to be perfect. When the next iteration makes it way from github to the app store, it will be perfect. Once we get the picture in picture/minimized play to be able to do continuous play while still minimized, I never need a different Plex app again. It's already leaps and bounds better than the utterly useless official Plex app, but it literally becomes perfect in one more iteration. Every addition after that is just bonus.
Fantastic Plex frontend with nearly all of the same features from the main app. Much cleaner, snappier, lightweight. It has a companion TV app, remote control, music playback, connects to various watchlist services. It's all there. It has everything but Chromecast support, which I would like to see eventually.Totally worth the price. No subscription. It's just doing everything right.
I have been using the app for the better part of a year and hands down this is the best media player for content on Plex. It by far more consistent and responsive than the native app. If you use Plex consistently it’s 100% worth the minimal cost.
This is a fantastic app! It solve two problems that have plagued the Plex client since the most recent Plex Server updates. First, the Live TV function works with iOS and iPad OS. I thought this was a lost cause, since the issue has been reported by multiple people to Plex for over 8 months and there is no consistent fix. This app brings this function back! The second this is performance. The current Plex current seems slow to load content, even on a fast network and all the settings properly set. This used to work well before the most recent Plex server upgrades. In any case, the performance is excellent and the loading is very fast. Overall, the app works well and is easy to use. I took a chance buying the app hoping that it would be an improvement over the regular Plex app and, sure enough, it was. Thanks for developing this and keeping it updated. In addition to an iPad, I use this on my Apple Vision Pro. It would be nice if it was a native AVP app, but it seems to work just fine, especially when I need Live TV. For 3D movies and full AVP support I use ScreenLit.
Edit: the developers response is incorrect and completely dismisses my issues. I absolutely regret buying this app twice. Would rather use the other alternatives after that response than have given them money. The app had the nav bar on the bottom for both iOS and iPadOS while in landscape view. For some reason it was updated and moved the nav bar to the left hand side. Being right handed this is inconvenient and I really dislike the look. I prefer it on the bottom. Why can’t it have been a toggle and let me decide? I will change my review if this gets reverted or a toggle, but looking at the GitHub it looks like they make changes like this at times without offering a toggle and you are SOL if you hate the forced change. I’d gladly take a refund if it’s going to be this way going forward, I feel tricked. I’ll go back to infuse.
Ответ разработчикаThe "issue" you're describing can be fixed by turning off auto-rotate.
This is a fantastic app, i’m happy with my purchase. playback is quick and responsive and the visual design of the app is years ahead of the native plex client. But i have an issue when i open up my app sometimes it just opens to the downloads tab and i can’t get out. Rebooting my phone sometimes fixes it, uninstalling and reinstalling fixes it every time. very annoying. then the missing functionality, i want to be able to change the resolution which is currently not available. These would be my criteria to update my review. Otherwise great app and looking forward to the future of it.
Downgrading my previous review after updates have failed to address many fair critiques from those who have paid for this app. Previous version of Plezy allowed me to at least toggle between my two libraries. Now I can’t even do that. I’m forever forced to view only one library. Developer claims Plex app does not allow you to view two libraries at once, which is simply not true. And his defensive responses indicate he’s unwilling to engage meaningfully with users’ legitimate feedback. Browse his responses and you’ll likely not want to shell out the $4, which he seems to think is a bargain.
Ответ разработчикаOriginal response: Collections and playlists have been added. Not sure what you mean by only viewing one library at once, that is how any Plex client works.Updated response: What critiques? You should still be able to switch libraries, but you can't "view multiple at once", I simply asked you to clarify what you meant.
I am not someone who was massively bothered by the complete redo of the official Plex app, but after giving this app a shot I will say it is immediately clear how much I was fooling myself. This is so much better and faster. It makes getting to my content actually NOT a tedious task and will make a tremendous difference in convincing my family to use our own streaming service rather than defaulting to Netflix (or whatever).
This app is an exponentially better experience than the traditional plex app. Feels extremely responsive in both menus and scrubbing, looks sleek, and brings new life into the plex world. I will immediately buy this again for my shield and other devices when it becomes available.
This app works and look great. It desperately needs two things. The ability to filter out other users plex servers so it’s not all mixed together is one. The other is live tv needs to separate the guides for different servers. I have an IPTV setup spread across multiple internal plex servers. Plezy shows them all as one large guide as well as cutting off after the second server.
