Inspiration tends to strike when you least expect it—heck, some of our best ideas come to us in the shower—and Procreate is a dazzling way to snatch sparks of visual genius out of the ether and bring them to life. Behind the app’s slick drawing and painting tools are robust features that you’d expect from a full-fledged illustration package—it even has the ingenious ability to use your Apple Watch as a color palette picker. If a brilliant notion does strike in the shower, though, get out and dry off.

  • It’s GREAT- but.

    F1SHYF1SHES

I do love procreate really, i used ibispaintx for a few years before purchasing procreate and it’s honestly great there is just a few issues that bother me though and some things i wish that were added onto here :,) It would be great if there were good pixel art brushes on here instead of having to lower ur canvas size and ruin the quality and make it harder to work with- and it would be great if there was a pixelation effect too to pixelate the layer your trying to pixelate :,)

Hey F1SHYF1SHES - Thank you for leaving us a review and for sharing your thoughts with us. We are happy to take your feedback on board as future development references for our team and look forward to bringing you more possibilities in future versions 🫶

  • Possible new features

    SpicyEndeavor

I’ve been using this app ever since early 2020, love it. But it could definitely use some new features like…- Being able to pin your artworks to the top of the main page- Some sort of delete folder so if any mistakes happen, it wouldn’t be gone forever. - Maybe a fast side scrolling feature since I know that a lot of people here make a lot of artworks (maybe have a setting where u can turn that on or off)I really believe this would improve the app more ❤️

  • Layers in frames

    Croomby

I love procreate pocket I've been using it for over a year I even have procreate on some of my other devices I use it all the time for drawing and animating but man oh man I wish that there was frames with layers so that I could anime easier instead of having to export each version into smaller things because there's also a frame limit that gets in the way 250 so if they could be frames with layers that would be amazing if not that's perfectly fine the app is still great

    Developer Response

Edited 31/07/2026 - Hey there! Thanks for leaving us a review. In Procreate Pocket, each layer or Layer Groups is considered as a single frame. So, you can actually group your layers to achieve what you are wanting. In your Layers panel, swipe right on any layers you want to combine to highlight them, then tap Group in the top-right corner. That entire group of layers will act as one single frame on the Animation Assist timeline. We hope this helps! 😄08/12/2025 - Hey Croomby - thanks for leaving us a review and taking the time to share your feedback! We’ll take this on board and have added your vote of support to this feature request. 🫶

  • My favorite app!

    MaddieRS3

Procreate is soooo good! It might be difficult to understand with many choices for professionals instead of simple one click for an easy doodle. Most of the time I use it for my actual drawings since it’s perfect for it. It deserves to have a higher price but I’m glad it’s not too high since it’s high quality. This is my go to app and I love it so much!!!! Also when I try to import photos it doesn’t work?

  • By far the best art app

    NeptuneTheGreat

When I first heard that procreate only supported iPad’s I was a bit disappointed at first. But when I looked for it on my phone I said “Take my money now!” By far one of the best things I did. There are a few stuff I would like to see implemented to the iPhone version from the iPad procreate, but the main one is the animation feature. Other than that I love this app!

    Developer Response

Hi NeptuneTheGreat – Thanks so much for your awesome review 💖 We are happy to hear that you are enjoying the Procreate Pocket experience 🤗 - In case you wish to use Animation Assist on iPhone, you can open a canvas in your Procreate Pocket Gallery → tap Modify at the top → tap on Actions (wrench 🔧) → swipe left and right on the blue sections, and select 'Canvas' → enable 'Animation Assist' - this way your Layers and Layer Groups will be read as animation Frames. If you are referring to a different feature, or if you have any other questions, feel free to message us anytime via the Support Form at this link procre.at/support - we are always happy to help!

  • Hand drawn

    Jaspr Cragg

I’m disappointed. Drawing by hand or actually by myself with the finger! Procreate rocks. These changes why I feel like Procreate Rocks! Thank you very much. “This is why we introduced the pressure slider, which allows your bottom brush slider to be moved while making a stroke on your canvas. This helps adjust the opacity or size of your brush depending on the brush settings when using your finger or a passive stylus. 😃"

    Developer Response

Edited 24/07/2026 - Hi Jaspr! We sad to hear that you are disappointed. Please note that iPhone 11 Pro, iPhone 11 Pro Max and later do not officially support any third-party styli which is why we are also not able to officially support third-party styli. You can still connect your stylus, but you may run into performance issues. We will continue to work with Apple and see if we can bring any changes regarding this in the future.22/07/2026 - Hi Jaspr! Thanks for leaving us a review. Due to the changed OLED screen technology we haven’t found a stylus that delivers a good user experience with any of the latest iPhones. You can still connect your stylus, but you may run into performance issues. This is why we introduced the pressure slider, which allows your bottom brush slider to be moved while making a stroke on your canvas. This helps adjust the opacity or size of your brush depending on the brush settings when using your finger or a passive stylus. 😃

  • PRESSURE SENSITIVITY. PLEASE.

    🩷🌈Principal Pankley🍀🍭

I absolutely love this app, however I wish there was an option for pressure sensitivity. I’m aware that there’s an option to slide the pressure slider while making a stroke, but it is extremely difficult to have one finger sliding up and down on the screen while trying to draw with another at the same time, so I don’t even bother with it. There HAS TO BE another much easier method to imitate pressure sensitivity on the iPhone. Please consider!

    Developer Response

Hey there - thanks for leaving us a great review and taking the time to share your feedback! We’ll take your suggestion for pressure sensitivity on board and have added your vote of support to this feature request. 🫶

  • LOVE IT! But there are some things I don’t like

    ?JMncf508%#qwnu

What I love about this app: I made book covers for books! They turned out so good with this app. I don’t like it when you do animation stuff you can’t do layers :/ But I’m making an animation and it’s so good with this app so far! Love this app! 20/20!What I don’t like: sometimes when I do the fill thing. It dose NOT work. But I can undo it so that’s good. In animation part, you can’t do layers. The layer tab is the frames.

    Developer Response

Hi there! Thanks you so much for using our app and leaving a wonderful review. Regarding the fill tool, have you tried adjusting the ColorDrop threshold? At lower thresholds, the color will confine itself to smaller areas. At higher thresholds, the color will bleed into outlines and break through them to fill neighboring areas. To activate Threshold, drag the Active Color over the area you want to fill, but don’t release it. After a moment, ColorDrop Threshold will activate. A thin bar above the artwork represents the threshold amount. Drag your finger to the left to fill less area, and to the right to fill more area. Lift your finger to commit the fill. If you are still having issues, please reach out to us via (procre.at/support). 😃

  • Goood but one thing

    Crisssssp

Procreate is good but I want one thing bones. i’ve also use procreate dreams (only a little bit) and something just came in my mind bones I think it would be way easier for me to animate stuff in procreate or procreate dreams cause I don’t have to animate and draw each individual thing. Although I still like it, I’ll probably keep using this forever

    Developer Response

Hi there! Thanks for leaving us a 5-star review. Bones, Rigging, Puppet Pins and Inverse Kinematics are planned to be included in Procreate Dreams and our team is working on these features. We will also add your vote of support to the feature request. ❤️

  • Pls add left handed mode

    kmgreenefc

Hi there. I’m really enjoying the app so far, I would just like to have the ability to change which side the brush opacity and size sliders are on when using portrait mode. Or if possible, the ability to put the same anchors on the size and opacity sliders as the ones on the iPad version, so users don’t have to hunt down the exact brush size every single time they accidentally touch the slider.

    Developer Response

Hey kmgreenefc - thanks for leaving us a review and taking the time to share your feedback. We’ll take this on board to consider in our development plans! 🫶
