the best f1 widget app

i have tried a handful of others, but this one takes the cake. “box box club: formula widgets” has the most amount of widgets for free, and i use it any time i check my phone. whether or not you download this app is completely up to you. but if you want to stay updated on the latest f1 news and regulation updates, or just want to tune into motorsport activity: this app is for you. 5/5 stars, would recommend to ANY formula one fan. not to mention, it has SO many features and options to pick and choose for widgets is insane. customer service by email is also amazing!

I would buy this app but?….

This app has been great since the beginning. Although at first it was an all free app. I understand its growth and what comes with it. “$$$$$”I only wished that this company would show its appreciation to those early supporters of the app such as myself, by grandfathering in with maybe a one time fee versus a yearly subscription. I’ve experienced this in other apps such as “MyRadar” and have had no problem supporting further by buying stake in the company to further its progress. This cash grab idea keeps me from spending one cent on this app. Not because of the capitalization of the growing sport but the lack of appreciation to those who have supported this app in its early stages and also spreading word of mouth about them to have many more users. Us early users are a part of the reason you are where you are and to place us in the same category as those who didn’t believe in the app or are new to the sport feels like a slap to the face.

We hear you, and we truly appreciate your feedback. All the features we launched the app with remain free even now. We have only added new features under the subscriptions. We have always valued our users would never take away features that have been free. But it is also essential for us to maintain a subscription plan, so we can keep the app afloat. Please feel free to contact us at reachus@boxbox.club if you'd like to share more.

Race Time Changes Lack of Warning.

Did NOT warn early enough for population in certain time zones and did not send enough reminders about the time change of the race. Missed half the race due to the lack of multiple reminders of the time change. Sends too many pointless notifications and not enough actually beneficial or important reminders. The fact you have to search for the notification setting to shut off these AD notifications instead of them being in the “bell” itself is annoying considering there are several rotating ADs on each page you can not “X” out of. Ridiculous.***Edit: after the developer response, reached out to them via email after the semi unprofessional response below and upon emailing back they did not apologize or edit their response to be more appropriate given their previous responses being civil and genuine. Disappointed.

The change in schedule were updated in both our app and widgets soon after the official announcement was made. We sent out 2 notifications about the changes and also before the start of both the sessions. We totally deny the allegations in your review and request you to check your notification settings. Email us at reachus@boxbox.club for further queries.

Great app, has some flaws

This app is the best (in my experience) app for tracking F1 however, it is not without it’s flaws. For example, after the 2026 Zandvoort race, the app would still keep saying that the next race was Zandvoort, and the points did not update for a few days, (I understand this is likely to just be someone being busy at the time and not updating it, but I think it’s a valid point nonetheless). The debrief feature, while well intended has a serious problem, I know it’s not the developers fault, but people rating a race one star because their driver crashed, didn’t get a good result, takes away from the point, I’d like to see maybe moderation in that or something.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful review and for pointing these things out. We really appreciate the detailed feedback. Please make sure you’re using the latest version of the app, as some of the issues you mentioned may already have been addressed. We’ll also keep your feedback about the Debrief ratings in mind as we continue improving the feature. If you have any other questions or concerns, please reach out to us at reachus@boxbox.club and we’ll be happy to help.
