-App of the Day-
Float helps students break down deadlines and stay focused together.
Whether you’re writing an essay, finishing an assignment, or trying to get through a book before a deadline, Float helps you turn big tasks into smaller daily goals.
Add what you’re working on, enter your word count or page count, choose your deadline, and Float will calculate how much you need to complete each day. No more guessing, panicking, or leaving everything until the night before.
With our new feature Out of Sight, you can put your phone away at the same time as friends, join focus sessions, and stay accountable while you study. Choose a time, see who else is focusing, and make phone-free study feel more social and easier to stick to.
Float is built for students who want to feel more in control of their workload, reduce last-minute stress, and build better study habits one day at a time.

**UPDATE** You can now see your name in the profile area when signing in with Apple ID
With a brand new feature called Essay Tennis you can get essays done - together - connect with friends as you serve word counts to each other. By completing your daily word count and serving it to the other player, they respond by completing the same or higher amount of words. We understand that the university experience right now can be a lonely experience, but completing essays needn't be. This is why we wanted to make something that allowed users to connect and have fun while they complete their essays.
We have a new look profile area where you can upload your profile picture and see how many points you have won from Essay Tennis.
When you do your words for today, you will see ‘Floating’ instead of the words for today just recalculating :)
We mashed up some bugs too!
Students, you've been served!

Firstly, we have now got an even better way that you can keep tracks on your essays and assignments. Connect your essay with our new Google Docs Add On. Simply search 'float' in G Suite Marketplace, install and log in.
Secondly, we have improved the account area which now doesn't crash when you update your university. You can also see your name in the account area. Oh, we now have brand new Float illustrations that are so much better than the last ones.
V1.1.15 2020/03/16
(Drum role please) The big 1.1 is here! We have gone into the app's lair and struck off bugs like the scene in Aliens when Pvt. Vasquez says, 'Let's rooooockkk!'. Ok on a serious note, we have been fixing a few issues and we hope that you continue to use Float as your essay/assignment helper.
You can now turn on notifications and be reminded in the early morning a week before, three days before and the day before. We could have easily just said, 'This latest version contains bug fixes and performance improvements'. Keep Floating!
