Infested with Fakes/Scams

Only been on the app for a couple weeks. Ended up with 700 likes. I’m thinking, this is nice. But, then after a few days of chatting with some beautiful women, they bring up cryptos. None will send a video. So I paid for the option to only have “premium” matches, thinking these are real women. Nope, then a get inundated with matches of scammers using pics of other women. After requesting video proof, I’ve actually gotten AI generated videos of women saying my name in an introduction. The common scams are: invest in crypto, or I want to see you buy I need gas money, or come see me at (obscure address). If I try to take a screenshot of a profile pic, tantan will warn me that they are “protecting user privacy.” Are you kidding me?! I have to prove I’m real by rotating my face for an AI scanner, yet there are guys using pics of IG models and OF girls trying to exploit others. And this isn’t a few, or half, this is the majority of female profiles. I’ve never encountered an app this corrupted. If it’s a working girl, I don’t care. At least they are real. But it’s all fakes. I wonder how many people have been scammed using this app. I wonder if the developers are in on the scams. I wonder if a class-action lawsuit may be needed.

I had over 100 likes in less than 24 hours. I’m not a pro athlete or movie star. 95% of the profiles are unverified, have only one photo and no bio. Matching and chatting with people who do have more than one pic and a bio is fishy too. One told me she was getting off the app and wanted to chat elsewhere 🚩 One has a profile that says 8 miles away, the bio says she lives in Indiana and then in the chat she tells me she lives in Washington 🚩 Most of the profiles I come across say 8 miles away. It seems like the profiles are managed by bots or a few people managing multiple accounts. It isn’t humanly possible to get that amount of likes in a day and for them to mostly be exactly 8 miles away. I’ve read the owner or developer responses to some of the negative reviews…what a crock of nonsense. You guys are a bunch of crooks hiding behind ai responses saying how you take user experience and safety seriously. REFUND THE SCAM 🚨

Unlike the original Tantan, its spin-off app Tantan Global feels practically dead. There are ridiculously FEW profiles. You can swipe through the entire pool of men in Beijing in about five minutes, and then the app says there are no more profiles available in your search radius.About half of the men profiles seem to be fake accounts or bots. Many of the remaining users communicate like NPCs, even those who are supposedly verified. The first message is almost always the same scripted line: “Where are you from, friend? I’m from…” and then they go silent. At the same time, many of these accounts appear to stay online almost 24/7, which makes it feel like artificial filler rather than real users.Meanwhile, my own verification keeps disappearing even though I’m a real user. I’ve had to contact support just to get it restored.

Hi, thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback. We’re sorry that your experience with tantan Global has felt frustrating, particularly regarding the limited number of profiles, suspicious accounts, and repeated verification issues. We understand how disappointing it can be to have a small selection of profiles in your area or encounter conversations that feel repetitive or inactive. tantan takes concerns about fake accounts, bots, and misleading behavior seriously, and we continuously work to identify and take action against accounts that violate our guidelines.Regarding your verification being removed repeatedly, we’re sorry for the inconvenience this has caused. If this happens again, please contact tantan Customer Support with your account details and relevant screenshots so our team can investigate and assist you further. We appreciate your feedback about the matching pool and the quality of interactions. We’ll share your comments with the relevant teams as we continue working to improve tantan's user experience, account authenticity, and verification system.

I have it a try because I met my ex here last year but it’s getting worse and worse. No real female on this app. 99% of the girls on this app are scammers. There’re so many of them that make me think that the developer is paying money to another company that creates those scam/fake account in order to make the app look like having enough # of accounts that real users would appreciate. But you’ll notice those fake/scam accounts with AI generated images, famous OF images, or just random images. The developer is smart enough to sell this app on the AppStore but not enough to get rid of those fake/scam accounts automatically using any AI tools out there? Such BS. The developer is part of this fake/scam accounts, so that they can make money out of this stupid app. Not so difficult to realize this scamming scheme🫵😂

Hey TanTan fam, Guess what? We pushed another update, and this time… Still no flying unicorns. Still no teleportation to your match's house. BUT... we did give the bugs a one-way ticket to the recycle bin of shame. What's Fixed: Tiny bugs you probably never noticed (but we did, because we're obsessed). Smoother swipes, faster matches, and fewer app tantrums. Improved performance so you can flirt with fewer freezes. Coming Soon: New features that might just make your ex wish they never let you go. More tools to help you vibe better, faster, and with the right kind of people. We know you're busy being iconic, but do us (and your future bae) a favour: Update now. Your next match is waiting. With love (and low latency), Team TanTan
