The game works much better after the latest update that came shortly after release, the only issue I’m now having is there are no controller button images in the gameplay prompts or the menus including the button mapping/key binding menu, so you have to guess through trial and error what button does what since there’s no button images in game. For example, a prompt will show up that says “hold (blank) to lunge forward” but you have no idea what that button is, and if you want to switch your controls around, there are no button images to show what the current bindings are and what you’ve changed them to. Otherwise the game runs smoothly and works properly. I can’t speak for the touch controls since I haven’t used those but those seem fine since they have symbols for what they do such as a grenade symbol, shooting symbol, etc. but please add the actual controller button images in game such as X, circle, triangle, square/ABXY, triggers, etc.

Update: well after yet another update, it seems everything is finally working. There's even a tutorial now. Still don't know what "contempt" is in the game though. This all doesn't exactly instill a lot of confidence in me about the dev/game. That said, the game does seem fun - very much like Doom/Quake/Marathon back in the 90s.Geez, I haven't seen such shoddy dev work in a while. First version released was completely the wrong one. At least they quickly released an update to correct that. But even this one is broken. If you fall off the world (which is very easy to do), the game crashes (lol and if you fell off the world in the previous version, you'd fall endlessly). Almost no instructions. No idea what the gun button does, except that if you hold it down, game goes into bullet time and a circle appears over the button with a sort of thumbstick like thing in the middle - maybe for precise aiming, but the background is completely blurred, so aiming would be useless. Plus, pressing the button doesn't fire a gun anyway, so 🤷‍♂️ (maybe I just don't have ammo yet? But I see no ammo count or weapon list, so how would I know?). And then there's the fact that if you follow the guide path to the end inside the building, nothing happens! Only thing in the room is a small pedestal, and standing on it does nothing. So the game doesn't progress. 😒It's a shame really, because I can see this might be a decent game if it worked. Devs, you really should test your game before releasing it. 🙄 I guess it at least makes the rest of us devs look better.

No music, no mission direction, and all enemies die in one bullet?Update: After the day 1 patch those specific issues were fixed, but just so everyone knows, Nyra Veyrath was a separate fully playable character before the day 1 patch. And now I think she was removed and we’ll need to play her in the future (if at all). Very very strange in my opinion. I found her more fun to play too which is a shame.Update 2: after purchasing the main game and dlc (separately because I didn’t see the crusader edition as an option), when relaunching the game I have no ability to load my saves and it’s asking me to repurchase. So game is currently unplayable. I’ve never seen such a poor premium app launch.Update 3: purchasing issue was fixed but the game is still eerily quiet. Needs better/louder music. Would also prefer if they restored content from the original game. Grav gun is no longer satisfying to use due to the downgraded visuals and they removed vortex grenades :(
