Night Sky goes big on augmented reality. AR Object Exploration plucks Ursa Major out of the sky and into your living room. AR Grand Orrey facilitates a stroll around the solar system, while AR Portals place you on the surface of other planets. There’s also an excellent Apple Watch companion app so you can see constellations or check stargazing conditions on your wrist.

The Apple Maps-style interface offers everything you need to stargaze from your garden, including light pollution readings, cloud coverage, nearby viewing locations and upcoming satellite sightings. Home screen widgets provide alerts for upcoming stargazing events. You’ll be in the garden in your jim-jams every night, so make sure you wrap-up warm.

With 1.7 billion stars here there’s an astronomical amount to see.
