Description
Remove Cassandra lightweight transactions from Event Ledger to reduce write latency and Paxos load. Current LWTs protect v1/v2 event deduplication, v3 single-event and stats writes, and CloudEvents retry leadership. Define replacements before removing each conditional write; the existing v3 bulk path only provides best-effort ordering.
Definition of Done
- Preserve the required behavior for duplicate events and counters, latest stats per context,
created_at, and retry worker coordination.
- Test concurrent writes, out-of-order and equal timestamps, retries, and partial failures.
- Compare write latency and throughput before and after; remove the remaining service LWT queries.
