Become a sponsor to Vlad Shilov
👋 Hi, I'm Vlad — engineering leader and open source author with 18 years of experience.
What I'm working on
- 👑 colord — a tiny yet powerful tool for high-performance color manipulation and conversion. 80M downloads/month. GitLab, WordPress, Stylelint and PixiJS use it, along with 9.5 million other repositories.
- 🎨 react-colorful — the tiniest and fastest color picker component for React. 24M downloads/month. Storybook, Leva, GrowthBook and pdf.net use it, along with 180k+ other repositories.
Both libraries are built around the same values: small bundles, zero dependencies, strict typing, and APIs that feel obvious. Neither has ever shipped a runtime dependency, and neither ever will.
Why sponsor?
The code is the easy part. What takes the evenings and weekends is everything around it — reading issues, reviewing PRs, keeping docs and examples honest, and shipping fixes without breaking the 9.5 million repositories downstream.
Your sponsorship pays for that time:
- 🛠 More hours for bug fixes and new features
- 📚 Docs and examples that stay current
- 🚀 Two libraries that stay tiny, fast, and free — forever
Every contribution genuinely matters. Thank you for considering supporting my work! 💛
