"Block Outsider Intrusion Into LAN" prevents the use of the OSRS RuneLite "WikiSync" Plugin #33661
Replies: 1 comment
I just tested using that URL with the "Block Outsider Intrusion Into LAN" list enabled and there were no connections blocked by the list. What are the exact steps necessary to reproduce the issue?
You cannot enable/disable filter lists on a per-site basis. You can create exceptions for the specific filters being applied on a site by using the logger: https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/wiki/The-logger |

This site is a tool hosted by the Old School RuneScape Wiki intended to connect to a websocket opened by the "WikiSync" plugin in RuneLite, an officially endorsed third-party client for Old School RuneScape. I had been having issues with the tool not being able to import data from RuneLite. When I tried monitoring websocket activity on that page it informed me that it was being blocked by uBlockOrigin. I opened the uBlockOrigin logger and found that the connection was specifically being blocked by the "Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN" filter list. When the URL was added to Trusted Sites, it was fine. It worked without uBlockOrigin installed. It worked fine with the filter list disabled. Allowing this site's tool to bypass that filter would be great. I don't generally like marking sites as "trusted" since I may not want every potentially blocked element to be allowed, such as trackers, but I would like to have the core functionality of a site feature to work and cannot find any way to allow one particular site to bypass only one filter list.
Browser name and version
Firefox 149 (64bit) for Arch Linux
Other extensions used
I am using several other extensions, but I have confirmed this issue to exclusively relate to uBlockOrigin, specifically the "Block Outsider Intrusion into LAN" filter list.
