This Beloved New Balance Collaboration Is Getting a New Look Courtesy of Kith

The United Arrows & Sons style returns on New Balance's Made in USA 990v3.

The Kith 15th anniversary hits keep coming as the Ronnie Fieg-led label is set to launch a new chapter in its tri-brand collaboration with Japanese clothing brand United Arrows & Sons and Boston-based sportswear company New Balance.

For the third time, Kith has partnered with United Arrows & Sons and New Balance for a new interpretation of the Japanese brand’s signature New Balance colorway of gray, purple and pink. This beloved combination — one Fieg himself called his “favorite New Balance colorway ever” — comes to life on New Balance’s Made in USA 990v3 model for the first time ever.

But Fieg and his Kith cohorts didn’t stop there. They also teamed with United Arrows & Sons to introduce a new color palette, another first for the partnership. The new style features a predominantly black-based colorway that’s balanced with light and dark grays with neon green accents throughout.

Both styles in the Kith x United Arrows & Sons x New Balance 990v3 collection include co-branded dubraes and insoles, custom packaging and dust bags.

In September, Kith commemorated its 15th anniversary with the release of “Kith: The Footwear Archive,” an Assouline-published coffee-table book highlighting the brand’s sprawling archive of both released and unreleased shoes.

“The way that I remember certain milestones in my life — like when my child was born, when I got married, certain store openings and trips I’ve taken — they all go back to the reference of the footwear releases for me. They’re the most substantial indicators of that time,” Fieg told Footwear News of looking back on his past work.

The Kith x United Arrows & Sons x New Balance 990v3 raffle is open now globally via the Kith app, and the sneakers will also be released Friday from Kith stores, kith.com and the Kith app at 11 a.m. ET. Retail pricing is set at $220 each.
