I received a call from gamestop that my year long hold on The Last Guardian has been canceled. What does this mean? I can't find any new developments about the game. Can someone educate me, I'm behind on the news.
They're still working on it. Ueda left Sony but is finishing Last Guardian as a freelancer or something like that. I'm not sure why they'd cancel the preorder. Maybe because there's no real date (or year, even) set in stone for the game's release?
For some reason I wouldn't be surprised if the game was canceled. Both ICO and SotC had clear goals for gameplay and final resolution. I just don't feel that with The Last Guardian.
It will be sad if the game's not made, but maybe not as sad as if the game doesn't work out well.
