Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air Projector
A projector can give you a movie-theater style experience at home. A portable projector means you can do that anywhere — the pool, the backyard, a wall in the kid’s room… The Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air projector is one of the best portable projectors on the market and makes for a unique gift they likely do not have already. The Mars 3 also won a CNET Editor’s Choice award.
Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2
Meta’s previous-generation Ray-Ban glasses were already CNET’s top recommendation for the best smart glasses of 2026. The newest iteration, the Ray-Ban Meta Gen 2, surpasses the originals in quality, with double the battery life and improved video quality. They’re the best smart glasses on the market by far, earning a CNET Editors’ Choice Award.
Apple AirPods 5
Apple’s newest earbuds, the AirPods 5, look identical to their predecessor but offer improved noise cancellation and are 50% more effective. They come in two versions, with the step-up model supporting wireless charging and volume control on its stems. CNET audio expert David Carnoy says they’re well worth the upgrade.
Roku Streambar SE
This mini soundbar offers surprisingly decent performance for its compact size. It measures just 9.6 inches wide by 3.5 inches deep by 2.4 inches tall, so it’s perfect for pairing with a smaller TV in your kitchen or bedroom. CNET audio expert David Carnoy recommends the Roku Streambar SE as a “solid upgrade over most built-in TV speakers and a good value at its modest price.”
Nintendo Switch 2
If the person on your holiday list doesn’t already have a Nintendo Switch or needs an upgrade, you can’t go wrong with the Switch 2. It’s a splurge, especially with the recent price hike, but it’s got cool, magnetic attaching controllers and the biggest, highest-resolution screen to date (read our full review).
Plufl
Billed as the human dog bed, the Plufl has been getting a lot of play on TikTok and other social media channels, so we decided to try one. The “bed” actually comes in four pieces: the cover, two fairly long tube-like pillows and a slim, oval “mattress” made out of memory foam. You stuff everything inside the cover — assembly takes about 15 minutes — and lo and behold, you’re looking at a giant dog bed (or a plush life raft that doesn’t float) big enough for a human. Not only is it quite comfortable for homo sapiens, but canines enjoy it too. While the Plufl is slightly more suitable for small or average-size humans, as long as you aren’t really tall, it should accommodate you. It comes in a few colors, and the cover is removable and washable.
Lab Test Winner
Highest Pick Up Efficiency (Corded)
Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus
Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus
Give that special someone a luxury upgrade they’d never buy themselves. CNET’s David Watsky tested over a dozen cordless and corded robotic pool cleaners, and the Dolphin Nautilus CC Plus came out on top as his favorite corded pick. It has has excellent suction power, offers remote scheduling, and is a CNET Editors’ Choice Award and Lab Test winner.
Hatch Restore 3 Sunrise Alarm Clock
The Hatch Restore 3 is not only an alarm clock; it can also help your insomniac friends. The clock is shaped like a sunrise and helps someone wake up by gradually emitting a calming sunrise-type light, as well as a sound of their choosing, like crashing waves. It’s also useful for bedtime routines — the clock can take on a darker, relaxing tone with its sunset light. Then, your giftee can choose a soothing time-to-fall-asleep ambient sound, music, guided meditation or Sleep Story from Hatch. It’s also CNET’s pick for best sunrise alarm clock.

M5 MacBook Air (15-inch)
Apple’s newest MacBook Air is one of the best laptops you can buy, and it’s a great choice for someone who wants a machine that’s thin and light but doesn’t compromise on speed. The smaller, 13-inch model is perfect for those with on-the-go lifestyles. But if you’re using it for work or just want a bigger display, the 15-inch version is definitely worth it.
SodaStream Terra
If you know someone who enjoys sparkling water, they’ll love the convenience of churning out the fizzy stuff at home — and it will save them money too. The SodaStream Terra is our top pick for the best soda maker for most people. It’s easy to use and it has a slim design that doesn’t take up too much counter space.
Apple Watch Series 12
Apple debuted the newest version of its flagship smartwatch in September, and it comes with a ton of upgrades. While its design looks similar to its predecessor on the outside, the inside features the faster S11 processor and new health sensors. The upshot is deeper recovery insights, improved heart rate accuracy, and a longer battery life.
Hex Bots Wall Crawler Gecko
CNET’s Bridget Carey says this won her over “both as a mom and as someone who delights in making my co-workers squirm.” By using a remote — that can be as far as 25 feet away — you can make it scale walls or perform spin tricks, she explains. To charge it, there’s a USB-C port and you’ll need two AAA batteries for the remote.
Roku Pro Series
If you’re looking to splash out on a TV to give someone for the holidays, the Roku Pro Series is a great choice. It has excellent picture quality, thanks to full-array local dimming and convenience features like a simple-to-assemble stand. It also of course offers the simple Roku system that will make your recipient’s streaming as pain-free as possible.
Baseus 5K Picogo Power Bank with Kickstand
Baseus makes a couple of very slim magnetic power banks that offer wireless charging. This model — the Picogo Power Bank 5K — is more affordable because it only offers 7.5-watt wireless charging for iPhones and isn’t equipped with Qi2, which offers 15-watt wireless charging. The newer Picogo Power Bank 5K with Integrated Stand is equipped with Qi2 and a kickstand but costs about twice as much. Both models offer 20-watt wired charging using the USB-C port.
Note that Qi2 power banks tend to heat up more during wireless charging, but this power bank only got slightly warm while wireless charging; the temperature change wasn’t big.
Ninja Blast
There are more-affordable portable blenders, like the Blendjet 2 and the Hamilton Beach Single-Serve, but the Ninja Blast, which lists for $70, is a step up from those models. It looks and feels more premium, and though it isn’t superpowerful, it’s a good option for making smoothies and protein shakes on the go or at home when you don’t want to deal with a full-size blender. Additionally, you can drink right from the blender, as it has a leak-proof sip lid. Available in multiple color options and easy to operate, it has an 18 ounce-capacity and recharges via USB-C.
Sony WH-1000XM6
Over the last several years, Sony has made some of the best noise-canceling headphones on the market, so it’s a big deal when the company comes out with a new flagship model, like the WH-1000XM6, which has arrived three years after the release of the WH-1000XM5. Though the XM5 was — and still is — one of the top over-ear Bluetooth headphones, there’s always room for improvement. According to CNET audio expert David Carnoy, with the XM6, Sony has fixed the small design flaws of its predecessor while bumping up the overall performance. The result is a headphone that’s arguably edged just ahead of the competition and is now at the top of its class. Read our WH-1000XM6 review.
Bokksu
Bokksu collects some of the best snacks from Japan and compiles them in a one-time or recurring monthly curated tasting box. Our CNET editors have both given and received Bokksu boxes, and they’re always a hit. Inside the unmistakable orange boxes, you’ll find eats like seaweed tempura, green tea and lemon cakes along with Japanese candy such as yuzu gummies and matcha-strawberry Kit-Kats. What’s more, Bokksu includes some info-packed literature explaining a bit about each, including historical and cultural significance. Bokksu boxes start at $30 a month for subscriptions and $50 for a one-time send.
Bambu Lab A1 Combo 3D Printer
For that tinkerer in your life who wants to get into 3D printing, this four-color 3D printer is the one to get. It’s our pick for best overall 3D printers, and CNET’s James Bricknell sums it up best, saying, “Whether it’s your first printer or another one for your collection, the A1 Combo is the number-one printer to buy right now.” He also recommends adding the AMS lite (short for Automatic Material System) for an even more elevated experience.
JBL Grip
JBL makes a lot of Bluetooth speakers, and its new Grip model falls somewhere between its micro-sized Go 4 and Clip 5 speakers and the Flip 6, which is more mini-sized. While it doesn’t sound quite as good as the Flip 7, it costs less and is more compact, weighing in at .85 lbs., or 385 grams, which makes it easy to carry around. While it certainly has its sound limitations, particularly in the low-end, there’s just enough bass to avoid sounding flat, and the speaker offers good treble clarity and strong midrange performance (the midrange tends to be where these small speakers perform best). I also liked the integrated loop and built-in lighting element on the back that’s programmable via the JBL companion app for iOS and Android. It’s more subdued than the light shows on some of the larger speakers and more accent or “ambient” lighting, as JBL calls it. Available in multiple color options, the Grip is rated for up to 14 hours of battery life at moderate volume levels and is fully waterproof and dust-resistant with an IP68 rating.
SteelSeries Apex 3 TKL
If you’re looking to purchase an affordable compact gaming keyboard, this entry-level model from SteelSeries offers surprisingly decent performance for its price, which is why it landed on our list of the best gaming keyboards of 2025. It’s got a small, tenkeyless design, eight lighting zones and media controls. An added bonus is that it’s IP32 water- and dust-resistant, a perk for those of us who are mess-prone.
GoCube
If you’ve always wanted to know how to complete a Rubik’s cube but could never get the hang of it, now’s your chance, CNET’s James Bricknell says. The GoCube connects to your phone or tablet and takes you through the steps of solving a cube using “algorithms,” so to speak. “It’s the first time I’ve felt I had a handle on manipulating a puzzle cube without it being completely random,” he says. “Learning a new skill as a dad, especially one that can impress your kids, is always worthwhile — and the app even lets you play battle games with your kids to make it more family-oriented.”
Firstleaf
CNET’s David Watsky tested all the top wine clubs, and FirstLeaf is his top choice for gifting to people with moderately experienced palates. If you’ve graduated from the Gallos and the Cupcakes and want to include more nuanced, complex and higher-priced premium wine in your life, Firstleaf Wine Club might be good for you too. Its palate quiz is one of the most involved, asking for varietal (Pinot Noir vs. Shiraz, for instance) preferences in addition to using several household name wines as taste benchmarks.
This intelligent wine subscription service gets to know you by asking about certain tasting notes and qualities you might prefer in your perfect wine — such as minerality — in contrast to similar quizzes, which assume many don’t know what that means. In short, this is probably the best wine club for a wine enthusiast who has the basics down and is ready to launch into expert wine-tasting territory.

Meta Quest 3S
Step up their VR experience by upgrading it with a Meta Quest 3S, our top pick for the best VR headset of 2026. While the Quest 3 offers a higher-resolution display, the 3S offers everything you could want in a VR headset but at a lower price point. Plus, you can do more than just game on this set — you can also learn how to play the piano, attend workout classes “in” various studios and even “attend” your favorite band’s concerts, all from the comfort of your home.
Oura Ring 5
If you know someone who wants to track their health metrics, but in a subtle way compared to using their phone or a smartwatch, the high-end Oura Ring 5 is the way to go. It can monitor their heart rate, activity and stress levels, plus sleep, and then they can see them all in the Oura app. This newest version, the gen 4, has an even sleeker feel than its predecessor. It also features a battery life that can outlast most smartwatches.
Atlas Coffee Club
A coffee subscription is about as foolproof a gift as it gets. As long as the person being gifted, ya know, drinks coffee and all. CNET’s editors tested and enjoyed many of the top coffee subscription services including Trade, Equator and many others. One stood out as particularly giftable and that’s Atlas Coffee Club. For one, the coffee comes from all over with lots of interesting roasts from Africa and Central America. Each bag arrives with a glossy postcard and some information on both the beans and the region they hail from. A three-month gift subscription starts at $60.
